Welcome to the 2026 Annual Charity Tameside Beer Festival
On behalf of Tameside Rotary, I welcome new and returning guests to the 2026 Annual Tameside Beer Festival. After the success of last year’s Beer Festival, we are absolutely delighted to be back at the amazing Stalybridge Civic Hall, it feels like home to us!
The Beer Festival is organised and run entirely by volunteers, without them, the event simply could not happen and vital funds for local charities would be lost. I would personally ask you to read the Programme in full to see if you could support the businesses and organisations that have advertised and sponsored this programme and support our on-line presence.
This year there is no specific single charity beneficiary but instead a collection of local dementia charities both for patients and care givers. These are
St Georges Dementia Cafe (Stalybridge), Forget Me Not Buddies (Denton), Music in Mind (Tameside) and Dementia Care Support Group – Willow Wood.
In the UK the current estimate is that around 982,000 people are living with dementia; this is projected to rise to around 1.4 million by 2040. Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia*. The increase is driven largely by the aging population. I expect that each and every one of our visitors will know of someone who is affected by dementia.
I hope you all enjoy yourselves at the festival with a range of beers, lagers, ciders and wines on offer as well as food and fabulous live music. Fundraising never tasted and sounded so good! You are helping these charities just by having fun!
Please join me in thanking the volunteers, Rotarians and the management of this great venue who have given their time over many months to make this event a success. Please do enjoy the event!

We have a great time in Rotary running events throughout the year. It’s good fun, offers excellent fellowship. It’s rewarding – putting something back into the local community. Sounds interesting? Check us out through our Facebook page or website (www.tamesiderotaryclub.com); information about events and monthly meeting points is constantly updated.
The Festival would not be possible without the support of
local businesses and Rotarians (who are volunteers). Our thanks go out to them.
Thanks also to the volunteers who help at this event and to the Beer Festival
organising team (Tameside Rotarians), who work tirelessly to bring you this magnificent
event. So, sit back, chill out, enjoy the event and in doing so know that you
helping to raise money for charity.
